Unemployment rate rose slightly to 4.2% (prev: 4.1%, cons: 4.2%)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"862\" data-end=\"935\">\n<p data-start=\"864\" data-end=\"935\">China PMI slightly entered contraction in July with 49.5 (prev: 50.4)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"936\" data-end=\"1048\">\n<p data-start=\"938\" data-end=\"1048\">Indonesia inflation picked up to 2.4% YoY in July 2025 (prev: 1.9%, cons: 2.3%) mainly driven by food prices<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1049\" data-end=\"1158\">\n<p data-start=\"1051\" data-end=\"1158\">Indonesia trade surplus narrowed to 4.1bn in June (prev: 4.3bn, cons: 3.4bn) driven by strong CPO exports<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1159\" data-end=\"1326\">\n<p data-start=\"1161\" data-end=\"1326\">Indonesia&#8217;s FDI decreased by -6.9% YoY to Rp202tn in 2Q25, while domestic direct investments remained strong at +30.5% YoY. Hence total investment grew at +11.5% YoY<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li>Geopolitical Events:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1685\">\n<p data-start=\"1361\" data-end=\"1438\">US concluded negotiations with several countries with most getting 15% rate<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1685\">\n<li data-start=\"1443\" data-end=\"1471\">\n<p data-start=\"1445\" data-end=\"1471\">India hit by 25% tariffs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1476\" data-end=\"1510\">\n<p data-start=\"1478\" data-end=\"1510\">Taiwan was hit by a 20% tariff<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1515\" data-end=\"1566\">\n<p data-start=\"1517\" data-end=\"1566\">Canada tariff rate increased to 35% (prev: 25%)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1571\" data-end=\"1685\">\n<p data-start=\"1573\" data-end=\"1685\">ASEAN Countries mostly hit with 19% tariffs, with the exception of Laos and Myanmar who were hit by 40% tariff<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1686\" data-end=\"1866\">\n<p data-start=\"1688\" data-end=\"1866\">American copper prices tumbled after U.S. President Donald Trump announced a 50% import tariff on refined copper, effective August 1, 2025, excluding raw materials and cathodes<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1867\" data-end=\"1964\">\n<p data-start=\"1869\" data-end=\"1964\">Thailand and Cambodia briefly entered conflict over a border dispute, peace was made soon after<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li data-ogsc=\"black\">Corporate\/Sector News:\n<ul style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\n<li data-start=\"1999\" data-end=\"2213\">\n<p data-start=\"2001\" data-end=\"2213\">Big banks results mostly came below with only BCA posting in-line results. Other big banks posted below-expectation result due to NIM compression from tight liquidity.
