Bank Indonesia maintained the benchmark rate (BI rate, replacing BI 7D RRR) at 6.00% in December 2023. Smaller banks (KBMI 1 & 2) offered higher deposit rates approaching year-end in order to maintain liquidity. Money market bond yield was relatively flat on the view it can decline in the coming months due to the benchmark rate cut in 2024. We extend further portfolio duration to anticipate the changing monetary policy.<\/p>\n
