Early rising rates<\/strong><\/h2>\n

 <\/p>\n

Money market funds gain momentum as loan growth started progressing and a higher RRR affects lightly the liquidity. The loan growth was recorded at 9.0% in May22, almost the same as 9.1% in Apr22. Banks are also adjusting for the higher Bank Indonesia\u2019s Reserve Requirement Ratio to 9.0% (vs 6.5% previously) by September 2022. With that conditions, we see deposit rates are offered higher by some banks recently.\u00a0 Additionally, the money market bond yield curve started to steepening instead of flattening. Therefore, we can start to see money market funds returns can gradually climb up after declining for months.<\/p>\n
