Reksa dana tersebut adalah reksa dana indeks pertama di Indonesia, yang menggunakan saham-saham pada indeks FTSE Indonesia ESG yang diterbitkan oleh FTSE Russell, sebagai aset dasar. Reksa Dana ini juga merupakan Reksa Dana Indeks pertama bagi Mandiri Investasi yang menggunakan indeks berbasis pada prinsip ESG. Sesuai namanya, indeks tersebut berisi sejumlah emiten yang mengedepankan prinsip kepedulian terhadap lingkungan, sosial dan <em>tata kelola perusahaan (environment, social &amp; governance\/ESG)<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Menurut Direktur Utama Mandiri Investasi, Aliyahdin Saugi, ada sejumlah keunggulan yang ditawarkan produk Mandiri Indeks FTSE Indonesia ESG dibanding reksa dana lain. Keunggulan utamanya adalah, reksa dana ini memberikan imbal hasil investasi setara dengan Indeks FTSE Indonesia ESG yang memiliki kinerja sangat baik relatif terhadap indeks saham lainnya di Indonesia.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Keunggulan lainnya adalah, reksa dana ini juga didesain tidak memiliki <em>exposure<\/em> berlebih pada sektor tertentu atau <em>sector neutral<\/em>. Sehingga tidak ada risiko berupa rotasi sektor di pasar atau <em>allocation active risk<\/em>. Terlebih indeks ini hanya di-<em>rebalancing<\/em> satu kali dalam setahun. Dengan semua hal tersebut, membuat risiko indeks ini cenderung terkelola dengan baik.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDalam lima tahun terakhir, indeks FTSE Indonesia ESG, memberikan kinerja yang lebih unggul dengan tingkat risiko yang mirip jika dibandingkan indeks saham lainnya. Sehingga reksa dana ini sangat cocok bagi investor yang menginginkan <em>return<\/em> optimal dengan risiko yang terukur dan investor dapat turut serta mendukung terwujudnya dunia usaha yang mengedepankan prinsip ESG,\u201d tutur pria yang akrab dipanggil Adi tersebut.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Berdasarkan studi yang dilakukan Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) pada 2019, menyimpulkan bahwa saham emiten dengan skor ESG tinggi, cenderung memberikan imbal hasil yang lebih baik dan volatilitas yang lebih rendah.
